Ensemble Studios

Ensemble Studios develops strategy computer games, most notably the award winning Age of Empires series for its parent company, Microsoft. Titles include The Titans, Age of Mythology, The Conquerors, and The Rise of Rome. The latest title in the Age of Empires series (the third installment) focuses on the colonial period (1500 to 1850) is scheduled for release in late 2005; the series has sold more than 16 million copies. The company was founded in 1995 and released the first Age of Empires title in 1997; Ensemble Studios was acquired by Microsoft in 2001.
