Lionhead Studios

Lionhead founder and managing director Peter Molyneux is known for creating "God games," in which the player takes on the role of a virtual deity, influencing other characters' actions. Two such games are Populous (developed by Bullfrog Studios, which Molyneux later sold to Electronic Arts, before starting Lionhead) and Black & White (developed by Black & White Studios, a sister company within the Lionhead Group, and published by Electronic Arts). In April 2006 the company was acquired by Microsoft.
