Game Overview: Coming late September, exclusively for PC, is set to be the most explosive action strategy gaming experience ever where Hollywood sci-fi meets explosive, innovative RTS play.
With progressive gameplay from acclaimed Russian game studio KDV GamesPerimeter, Hollywood-level production values from U.S. creative studio Massive Black, Inc, the game is wrapped in an epic science-fiction script from professional screenwriter James Swallow (Star Trek: Voyager TV, Doctor Who).
Set against the violent ecological meltdown of a future planet Earth, it's all-out destructive war as you battle for control of the entire planet against fearless aliens, an army of high-tech super soldiers and a rag tag crew of human survivors.
In this ravaged world, the planet's dwindling resources have divided what remains of mankind in two: the urban freedom fighting “Remnants' and the technologically advanced “Ascension'. Now they must wage war against a new threat, the invasion of a savage alien race, the Hai-Genti, and each other in a desperate struggle for supremacy and survival.
Through the game's missions, you'll take command from different viewpoints and employ faction-specific tactics and weaponry “ from terraforming the land to harnessing the forces of nature to achieve your objectives. Complete with the ability to terraform landscapes and transform units, Maelstrom will provide gamers with the power to harness the forces of nature in the most frantic, destructive, action-packed RTS game yet.
Played from the classic RTS vantage point, but unlike traditional titles, the game's unparalleled level of detail will enable you to get in close and annihilate your enemies from a third person perspective too. Six player multiplayer takes the action to the next level.
