We where lucky enough to get 10 questions answered about Fuzion Frenzy 2 the recently released party title from Hudson and Microsoft Games Studios. We hope to bring you another interview soon about this wonderful title. In the mean time we hope you enjoy this Q & A.
EGN Shanna Q. 1.What are your main goals for Fuzion Frenzy 2? Of these goals what do you think is most important?
Hudson Dev Team A. 1.Our main goal was to create a new type of party game for Xbox360 while following original concept of Fuzion Frenzy. What was most important was that we wanted to follow the original concept of Fuzion Frenzy and take what we learned from Fuzion Frenzy into Fuzion Frenzy 2.
--- EGN Shanna Q. 2.What if anything sets Fuzion Frenzy 2 apart from other "party games"?
Hudson Dev Team A. 2. Fuzion Frenzy 2 is a "Non-Stop Action Party Game" that can be joined by gamers of all ages. What really sets it apart though is the ability to play with up to four friends at home or anywhere in the world via Xbox Live.
--- EGN Shanna Q. 3.What features makes Fuzion Frenzy 2 a good single player game? To that what features make Fuzion Frenzy 2 a good Xbox Live enabled game?
Hudson Dev Team A. 3.In the single player game, the player can enjoy the whole game just as if he was playing multi-player. This way gamers can practice mini-games repeatedly and be ready for the multiplayer action. Using Xbox Live, players can play against gamers from all over the world. With Live Leaderboards, gamers can compete for the highest rankings as well. --- EGN Shanna Q. 4.What is your favorite mini game in Fuzion Frenzy 2?
Hudson Dev Team A. 4. While all the games in Fuzion Frenzy 2 are a barrel of laughs, our favorite mini games in Fuzion Frenzy 2 are "Flamethrower Madness", "Icebreaker" and "Sumo Clash."
--- EGN Shanna Q. 5.Has there been any challenges in the development of the game you didn't expect when you started this project?
Hudson Dev Team A. 5.We'd be lying to you if we said there were no challenges; there are always challenges. One of the challenges was balancing gameplay over and over again till it was polished and fun. We didn't want to make the gameplay too simplistic.
--- EGN Shanna Q. 6.What so far has been the most fun in developing Fuzion Frenzy 2?
Hudson Dev Team A. 6. The development team all get together at times and we actually play the games for real and fine tune each of the games. --- EGN Shanna Q. 7.Artistically is there anything about this game that stands out most in your mind, and/or that we as users should take notice of?
Hudson Dev Team A. 7.Even though the game backgrounds don't necessarily affect users directly, our team went to great lengths to make them creative so that it could become part of the entire experience.
--- EGN Shanna Q. 8.Sound doesn't come up enough in Q&A's or in any type of article, so what types of sounds should we expect, and how will this help immerse us into the game?
Hudson Dev Team A. 8. We've added a lot of cyber-rock-like music, which blends well with the Fuzion Frenzy 2 style of extreme battles. We find it very stimulating and helps keep players going while playing the game. --- EGN Shanna Q. 9.Speaking of sound and music are there any scores, or songs you are particularly proud of?
Hudson Dev Team A. 9. We are proud of all music in this game. Every music matched our vision of Fuzion Frenzy 2, and it helps to make it an exciting party game.
--- EGN Shanna Q. 10.With Vista coming up, are there any Windows plans for the game to help expand the online play of the game, and the overall market share that the game could end up getting? Part of the reason I ask this is with the growing digital media collection people are getting its more and more common place to see PC's in the front room or in the entertainment room.
Hudson Dev Team A. 10.We currently do not have any plans to expand the Fuzion Frenzy franchise onto the Windows platform at the moment. We are aware that the Windows platform is an important gaming platform, and perhaps we will think about creating some games for Windows in the future.
