Datel has big plans for Sony's handheld marvel

The PSP is taking the gaming world by storm, and Datel has some great PSP peripherals in store for you

Get Connected!

Get Connected is a USB cable packaged with exclusive MAX Media utilities for your PC and PSP, designed to streamline the process of running your favourite music, movies, images and, of course, games on your PSP. Simply use the cable to connect your two machines together then run MAX Media to transfer files to and/or from your PSP, convert files to different formats, and even download/upload game saves. The size of the files MAX Media deals with is limited only by the size of the memory stick you use. Reports suggest that memory sticks of sizes up to eight whole gigabytes will soon be available “ that's enough for several full-length feature films! It's so simple to use you'll have a vast digital media library in the palm of your hand in no time.

* Action Replay MAX for PSP

Action Replay MAX for PSP comes with everything you need to get the absolute most from your favourite PSP games. The AR MAX disc gives you easy access to thousands of specially created PowerSaves, which you can then transfer to your PSP using the supplied USB Cable, and store on the supplied MAX Memory 64MB memory stick. And remember, PowerSaves are no ordinary saves. The CodeJunkies boffins who create these things are not only expert gamers, but they have the skills to hack into each game and make things happen that simply wouldn't otherwise. Awesome!

* MAX Memory

We have two sizes of MAX Memory currently on the way, 64Mb and 128Mb. As always with MAX Memory you get more memory for your money. 64Mb is twice the capacity of a standard memory stick, it will cost less! And the 128Mb size is even better value. MAX memory can be used in exactly the same way as a standard memory stick, to store any PSP compatible files, including game saves, MP3s, images and even videos.

* Max Power

Depending on what you're doing with it, your PSP battery can give you up to ten hours of use per charge. But intense gaming sessions are more likely to last about three or four. That's not bad, but is it enough? Again, that depends on what you want out of your PSP, but you could already be finding that those hours fly by when you're having PSP fun.

We'll soon have an answer to this problem in the shape of MAX Power, a lithium battery for the PSP, which will give you the same performance, the same amount of use per charge and same total lifespan as Sony's official PSP battery, but for approximately two thirds of the price. With a back-up battery to hand, you never need to worry about draining your current battery again. If it runs out, just swap the batteries over. And if you want to charge one battery while using the other, read on

* Battery Charger

This battery charger offers several advantages over charging the battery in your PSP itself. First, as we've already pointed out, if you have a spare battery you can carry on using your PSP while you charge the drained battery. It's compatible with both the Sony PSP battery pack, and with MAX Power.
