Juka and the Monophonic Menace is coming to a Game Boy Advance near you soon.

"Juka and the Monophonic Menace is a mixture of Zelda gameplay with some Hindu and African folklore. The game takes place in a magical world called Obla where technology was based on the manipulation of sound. Settlers followed their noble king until evil alchemists battled for dominance of the world, and the King and his noble Alchemists battled the dark alchemists for cycles upon cycles of life. Finally, the King and his men defeated these Alchemists. However, the last dark alchemist, Monophonic Menace, returned from his exile to conquer Obla. His great powers let his evil minions roam around freely with protection from the powers of other alchemists. Our young protagonist, Juka, must save Obla from this dark Alchemist.

Gamers play as this young orphan who can mix potions for special abilities and use his staff as a weapon. Juka has a love of becoming a power Alchemist but he is one of the most noble, honest and friendliest characters in his local village. He is befriended by his griot and famous inventor, Bufo, as well as Maestro, who is an old wise man that helps you on this adventure. Secretly, Maestro is an Alchemist and knows the secret past of Bufo. Along the quest, you get to meet human and non-human characters who help on your quest, such as Dwayne the Meadow Yeti, who has knowledge of the Earth Instruments. There are also human characters such as Bertrand H. Wanderpath, who is a guide and mapmaker. Fans of the Zelda series may enjoy this game's cast of characters.

There are 50 items to collect in this game along this epic journey to defeat the evil powers of Obla. There are earth instruments much like in Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening GB/GBC. Gamers need to collect eight (dark blue, copper, green jars and more) special jars to mix ingredients and create new items and potions. Juka must also take back the five machine parts (steam lever, regulator clock, pressure wheel, torque band and golden cog) that the dubious Monophonic Menace stole. The five parts of the Great Machine will help destroy Menace's evil machine army, along with the potions and other collectable items."
