Do you have what it takes to become one of the ultimate "Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends" fans? Microsoft Game Studios and Big Huge Games challenges US and Canadian gamers to join in the first of several competitions designed to find the world's Ultimate "Rise of Legends" Fans.

The competition, which is hosted by Microsoft Game Studios and Big Huge Games, will consist of multiple online contests. One Ultimate Fan per contest will win an exclusive visit to Big Huge Games where they can see the creative process in action. In addition, each winner will document their daily experience in their own "Rise of Legends" blog and get to rise to the ultimate challenge and battle against Big Huge Games in an exclusive head-to-head online multiplayer match.

The first contest will be a fan fiction contest where gamers will be invited to write fiction based on specifically chosen in-game screen shots. These shots will be posted on the official "Rise of Legends" homepage at http://www.bighugegames.com/riseoflegends/contest1.html on September 14, 2005 and fans will be encouraged to devise the most inventive and imaginative story using the theme of magic versus technology. Big Huge Games representatives will then select the ten finalists, which will be announced on October 6, 2005.

From October 6, 2005 to October 19, 2005, the choice of the Fan Fiction contest winner will then rest in the hands of gamers. Gamers will be invited to vote for their favorite story online and ultimately decide the winner, which will be announced on October 28, 2005. Rules and regulations for each contest will be available throughout on the official "Rise of Legends" Web site.
