With its
Twist°n°Turn axis and analog triggers, the Speedster Controller gives
gamers an unparalleled driving simulation experience from a
gamepad-style controller. The Speedster Controller is perfect for
gaming enthusiasts who love car, motorbike, Jet Ski, ATV, and snowboard
type games and is set to begin shipping in North America on November 1,
2006.
While the Speedster Controller can be used as a regular
PS2 controller, gamers looking for extra control and realism from their
racing games can unlock the Twist°n°Turn axis, giving the controller a
wheel-like function full of accuracy. The controller can be locked or
unlocked in mid-game, allowing players to switch between running and
driving in games like Grand Theft Auto. Additional true analog triggers
deliver a whole new level of precision to acceleration and braking as
gamers can tune the sensitivity and dead-zone of the controller as well
as create specially timed macros.
The Speedster Controller is
wireless and uses 2.4 GHz RF technology (30 ft range) with no latency.
It also includes the Play°n°Charge kit, with three rechargeable 2000
mAh batteries and a five meter USB charging cable for continuous game
play, giving gamers a new level of freedom within their gaming
environment.
In Q4 2006, adapters needed to play the Speedster Controller on PlayStation 3 and PC will be available.
