Dedicated Club Pogo Players Can Now Acquire New Challenges, More Badges and Cool Avatar Items Above and Beyond the Core Subscription Offering

Electronic Arts Inc., (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced that Pogo.com kicked off Pogo Gems, a brand new virtual point system that Club Pogo players can use to acquire extra special items such as Premium Badge Albums, Mix-n-Match Badge Albums and Pogo Mini add-ons to enhance their online avatars. Club Pogo, the subscription service offered by Pogo.com, is home to over a million women who spend upwards of 12 hours per week playing, competing and socializing online. Gem packages range from $4.99 to $19.99.

Andrew Pedersen, VP and Executive Producer at EA explained, "For the past two past years, Club Pogo players have enjoyed collecting badges and customizing their online avatars. The badge collection system has been hugely successful and the adoption rates really strong. Today, players are asking for more. With this new Pogo Gems system, players get more badges and can further customize, dress-up and animate their Pogo Mini. It is a simple and fun way for players to enrich their online experience and express themselves in one of their favorite online playgrounds."

In Club Pogo, players engage in weekly competitions that challenge them to earn "badges" that show off their skills. Dedicated Club Pogo players collect the badges and display them proudly either in their profile or in collectible albums. Also while online and in chat rooms, Club Pogo players display avatars that are customized to each player's online persona. The new content builds on the core Club Pogo offering and adds to the addictive Club Pogo experience.

Premium Badge Albums “ Having sold over 1M units, Premium Badge Albums are the most popular albums in Club Pogo. These themed albums contain up to 12 pre-set badge challenges. Club Pogo currently offers 6 Premium Badge Albums available for purchase. Premium Badge Albums are designed for badge fans who seek to earn additional badges above and beyond the core Club Pogo offering that is part of their subscription.

Mix-n-Match Badge Albums “ Mix-n-Match Albums allow players to build and customize their own album by filling their album with individual badges they select a la carte.

Premium Avatar (aka Pogo Mini) items “ Premium Mini items allow players to enhance their Pogo Mini avatar by adding animated content only accessible via Pogo Gems. Some of the premium items include special effects such as lightning, butterflies and animated backgrounds.

There is no obligation to buy new items but players who wish to use the virtual point system may do so without restriction “ content can be added as often or as seldom as the player wishes.
