Ziff Davis Game Group, the leading integrated media network for gamers, today announced the nominees for the fourth annual 1UP Awards honoring the best video and PC games of 2006.

Gamers can visit 1UP.com now through January 15, 2007 to choose their favorites (http://bestof2006.1up.com/).

The 1UP Awards will be open to voting by the more than 17 million gamers engaged with Ziff Davis Game Group's market-leading properties, which include websites 1UP.com, FileFront.com, GameVideos.com, GameTab.com, and MyCheats.com, and magazines EGM and Games for Windows: The Official Magazine. The winners will be posted online on 1UP.com and featured in the magazines' March issues.

"It's an incredible time for gaming. The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii are changing peoples' expectations of games, the PC and the PlayStation 2 are as strong as ever, and the handheld platforms are inspiring more and more imaginative experiences," said John Davison, Senior VP and Editorial Director of the 1UP Network. The 1UP Awards are named for Ziff Davis' 1UP Network, which serves original editorial content to a sophisticated online community. The 1UP Network's editors, widely recognized as the foremost authorities in gaming media, collaborated to select the nominees for the top games among 11 distinct genres, as well as for special categories "Most Innovative" and "Game of the Year."
