Pixies' Front Man Frank Black's Covers of "Gimme Danger" To Lead First Retail Music Releases
3volution Productions LLC, a leading provider of custom audio, video and
marketing solutions for video games, today announced an exclusive three year
digital distribution agreement with Navarre Corporation, a leading distributor
of physical and digital home entertainment and multimedia products. Under the
exclusive agreement, Navarre will distribute 3volution's video game related
music created for and based on some of the industry's most popular games. The
new business relationship will emerge to deliver several products in the near
future; the first release being today, March 6, 2007 with the commercial release
of two songs featured exclusively in the new Ubisoft title, Tom Clancy's Ghost
Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (GRAW 2).
3volution's remakes of "Gimme Danger," (originally written and recorded by Iggy
Pop and the Stooges) featuring Pixies' front man and solo artist Frank Black on
vocals are the first of 3volutoin's videogame related songs to be distributed by
Navarre. Starting today, both "Gimme Danger" and "Gimme Danger nu Grungeopolis
mix" by Frank Black and 3volution will be distributed digitally to more than 20
top outlets including Apple iTunes, Music Match, Napster, emusic, Audio
Lunchbox, Sony Connect, Jamster, Verizon Wireless and more.
