Bruno Senna will star as System 3's guest driver with the Ferrari
Challenge Dealer Team GB at the forthcoming Ferrari Racing Days
spectacular at Silverstone from 8-9-10 June.
Bruno Senna, aged
23 from Sao Paolo in Brazil, only started his career as a professional
racing driver in August 2004. His uncle, three-times F1 world champion
Ayrton Senna, once said, "if you think I'm good, just wait until you
see my nephew" and so far in GP2 Bruno has lived up to the billing,
with victory in only his second race at Barcelona. From the very
beginning of his motor racing career, Bruno has shown a strong and
ambitious personality and he doesn't fear the comparison with his late
uncle, saying, "If I am worse, the same or better than my uncle, only
time will tell."
Senna appears at the event as a special guest
of Ferrari and System 3, the makers of the upcoming video game based on
the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli series. The game, due out later
this year, brings the latest in video game technologies to the latest
video game formats including PlayStation 3.
Massimo Fedeli,
Managing Director of Ferrari GB Ltd, said, "We are very proud to
welcome Bruno Senna to the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli for our
home round at Silverstone. The team are incredibly excited about
Bruno's potential as he has already demonstrated his race-winning
credentials after only a very short time in motor racing. Ferrari
Racing Days is also the focus of Ferrari's 60th Anniversary
celebrations in the UK, and we are sure the fans will appreciate the
opportunity to see a Senna in a Ferrari for the first time."
Bruno
will be driving System 3's Ferrari F430 Challenge race car which
carries a special livery with echoes of the Brazilian flag.
Mark
Cale, CEO of System 3, said, "This is a proud moment and the link-up
with Bruno Senna for the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli race series
signals the beginning of our huge marketing campaign, Senna is sure to
go on to to become a World Champion Driver and we're confident that the
Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli video game will reach similar heights
in its own sector"
Ferrari GB's Motorsport Director, Enrico
Bertaggia, enthused about Bruno's potential: "Bruno is one of those
drivers who has the eyes of a champion '" he races to win. His
determination and ability behind the wheel means he will be a serious
contender for a podium at Silverstone."
Bruno Senna will also be
driving one of the lead Ferraris in Ferrari GB's attempt to set a new
Guinness World Record for the "Largest Parade of Ferrari Cars" which
takes place at Silverstone on Saturday 9 June. (Ferrari owners
interested in participating in this Guinness World Record attempt
should contact Ferrari GB on 01753 878700 with details of their
