Bet on Soldier is a first person shooter game being developed by Kylotonn and was released on September 26, 2005. Bet on Soldier is set in a futuristic setting where you play as a mercenary.
Before each mission you will have to buy your load-out, counter-strike style, hire a side- kick (who can be a sniper, grunt mechanic and so on) and choose the end boss. You will have a list of bosses to choice from the harder the boss the more money you will make. As the game progresses your arsenal choices get wider, with a wide rang of melee weapons you will be one tough cookie.
You will be fighting tough rival though. Some will have great weapons with great armor and some won. What ever the case maybe you get money for every kill made that will go for repairs and ammo gained from station scattered thought out the area. There is no ammo or health pack, can you pick up enemy weapons or ammo. The more skilled you get at killing the more you will make (head shots are one of the best paying kills.)
A realistic touch, shooting at the head does not guarantee a one shot kill, because in BoS the helmet is not just art. A shot a little to high and all you do is knock the helmet off and you can actually target specific zone of the body and see the effects of you attack with a mech warrior style body frame icon . It wills pop-up any time you put your cross hairs over it.
The AI in BoS has plenty going for it they will take cover pull back when over and have taken damage and seem to have extensible evasion routines.
On the graphic side of things, this game has sharpness to it, practical the textures. Couture Mod has nice bump mapping ad detail although; the plastic skin side-effect in normal mapping is still there. The art is not over-all original but there was a good amount of verity.
Like the graphics the audio is sharp and strong. In general you will have several squid mates shouting verse phrase of dialog to you, in practical the engineer.
Over all this is a good first person shooter. It is most defiantly worth the time and effort of first-person shooter fans.
