High:

Having a gun for an arm is amazingly awesome! Tons of different ways to take down the bad guys.

Low:

Lack-luster storyline, character models, lagging sound, glitches, nobody online, gameplay gets boring.

I've had a bad joint that was better than this game.

The Good

Honestly, I've never done any type of illegal drug out there, but I thought I would bring that point across to state that this game was really hard to keep playing. Before I turn this into a complete rant, I will discuss a few of the good things that were I this game...the very few things...First off, the arsenal of guns at your disposal is pretty awesome, each having a primary and secondary form. What is even cooler about the guns is that they are attached to your arm, that's right, you have a mechanical arm that transforms into different guns so you can shoot people. Wait, wasn't that already created like 10 years ago in the little known RPG Final Fantasy 7?

Anyway, the gun arm thing is pretty fun, all guns downloaded to your arm have a regular firing mode and a mode you charge up to unleash a fury of bullets or one charged blast that obliterates enemies. The environmental graphic are decent as well, and that rounds up everything that is likable about this game. Now, lets enter the rant.

The Bad

The biggest thing that I completely despised about this game is the character models...or should I say model, without the s. The main character is designed a certain build, as well as EVERY other single grunt in this game that you come across that is a male. There are a handful of other male designs, but you will see the same person, just with different hair, every time you start shooting things. That possibly may be a popular thing to do in video games, however usually the main character design they stamp around the whole game looks a little better than this. Honestly, you look like a big gorilla walking around with a machine gun hand. Also the design in the face is questionable as well, but luckily we don't have to see many close-ups of this character's ugly mug. All I'm saying is, if you are going to “clone” a person in a game, just make sure that the design of the clone looks better than a Mighty Joe Young/Barret mix.

Speaking of cloning, the story line puts you in 3100 AD where the character you are playing as gets cloned because he is the prized UFC fighter of the future...or something similar to that. Then, you get completely torn apart and brutalized, then you loose an arm. Can you guess what happens next? Well, some mad doctor places an amazing invention onto your arm, that nobody else seems to have even though we are in 3100 AD where technology has probably taken over the world and killed humanity. Anyway, I digress, some mad doctor then puts you up against the Merchants of Brooklyn to try and prevent extinction of all of the neanderthal clones. At least that what I seemed to pick up from the hours that I played this game.

The game play is a little dull, only having high points when you receive a new download to your arm so you can try out a new gun. However, once the new item shine wears off you start to realize how repetitive this game really can be. I realized this while I was standing next to a virtual reality stripper in a night club where the DJ has guns galore in her turn-table that is floating about the dance floor. I will say that idea was pretty unique, but it started to just get even more dull with each step I invested into the game. Basically, the game play is just like a normal shoot-em-up, aim and click to blow poo up. What else would you want in a shooter?

The Ugly

So, lets review, you get to play as a Barret clone from Final Fantasy 7, but without the amazing story or characters that come along with a huge title like that. The price point is nice for this indy game (only at $20), but honestly I wish that I could have some of my life back. I don't think that this game is worth spending money on, even if you love the idea of UFC fighters with guns for arms.
