DS / Wi Connection

Nintendo Canada Marketing Manager Farjad Iravani leaked several details including the possibility of a DS to Wii connection.

Quoting Farjad
(Wii/DS connectivity) - They are capable of communicating with each other wirelessly but at this stage there are no plans for such functionality.

(Wii DVD playback) - There will be a Wii option released in the 2nd half of 2007 that will be DVD capable it will be a second model in addition to the classic "Canadians" will have a chance at that point to buy the current model or the model that supports DVDs there will be a price difference but it will be available in the 2nd half of 2007.
Hope we eventually do see several DS / Wii games able to communicate between each other if we do not see it then that would mean either Nintendo dropped the idea of handheld to console connection which is doubtful, or there could actually be another gameboy coming out. Who knows maybe there is even a portable Wii planned the technology for it is almost small enough.
